Founded in 2006, TAKO is an organization based in Fayette
County dedicated to providing immersive outdoor experiences
to children and people of all ages.
TAKO's MissionImmerse participants in enjoyable activities
to develop an attitude of joy, wonder, love and respect
for our natural world.

TAKO Awarded 2009 Governors Volunteer Award!
It is with great pleasure to announce that TAKO has been
selected for a 2009 Governors Volunteer Award for
outstanding contribution of volunteer service to our community.
The Governor, Lt. Governor, or First Lady will be presenting
the award to TAKO in person during a special recognition
ceremony Friday, June 19, 2009, 9:30 a.m. at Linn-Mar High
School Auditorium 3111 North 10th Street Marion, Iowa.
