Spring Birds, Bugs and Flowers
Sunday, April 27, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Hickory Hill Park, South entrance at the east end of Bloomington Street, Norton Wayside shelter, Iowa City

Come celebrate Spring Birds, Bugs and Flowers with TAKO. Adults gather your kids, come explore all that spring has to offer. Be prepared go on a short hike and possibly walk on some muddy trails. We will be meeting at the South Shelter located off the south parking lot entrance on Bloomington Street. Stay tuned to the website/Facebook for updates and cancellations.

Participants should dress to walk in the woods. Dress in layers and be prepared for a range of weather conditions. Bring a hat, work gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellant, drinking water, and any other items you may need to be comfortable in the outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring a digital camera and/or binoculars.

Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 1:00PM. This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. Advance registration is requested, but not required. Those bringing six or more people should register to help TAKO plan equipment and food needs. For more information, call Judy at 319-330-3833.

Note: TAKO is TAKE a kid outdoors, not LEAVE a kid outdoors. Children must be accompanied by an Adult. Typically, there is no charge for TAKO events.
