An adventure exploring Swiss Valley, a prairie planting - discovering ‘prairie life’, and nature games!
Lunch is provided. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Sign up is required - space limited.

“Fossil Fun”

Fossil & Prairie Park,
Floyd County
1 PM - 4 PM All Ages
Discover what prehistoric animals once lived in Iowa as you go on a guided tour of the Fossil & Prairie Parks Learning Center. Then go on a real fossil hunt in the nearby quarry. Explore the prairie, learning about the plants that live there and how they helped build Iowa's wonderful rich soil. Transportation will be available. Watch the local papers for more details.

What creatures are in the corn at Halloween? Come, take a hike and you will be amazed. Learn about bats, owls and other nightly creatures. Food, hot chocolate and hot apple cider will be provided.
